We had a family lunch date today in San Diego t the BBQ Pit for great food and great company. After lunch, we went next door to 31 Flavors for ice cream. We took a few funny photos and this is the photo that my granddaughter, Lily, has chosen for me to post today. This is my oldest daughter Misty, with her daughter Lily.

Day 26 – 2012
This morning, Alice stood up with her two front paws on the kitchen counter looking for something to eat, and so I scolded her. She jumped down, put her tail between her legs and pouted away. This is her guilty look… silly dog!

Day 25 – 2012
We found this new salad at Costco that has seaweed and quinoa and is wonderfully crunchy and spicey at the same time. The best part about it is the low calorie, high protein and no fat ingredients… and it tastes great! Now, if we can only get it again… it was a roadshow product, so I am going to have to look around in other stores for it now.

Day 24 – 2012
Elder Linzey came to town and visited us for the evening. Jacob and Brittany took him and his companion to dinner at Red Robin and then they came over to see us. After a game of pool, they had to leave to drive back to Corona. He and Jacob are quite close and will remain friends forever.

Day 23 – 2012
While we were in the gardening mood, we picked up some flowers at Costco Saturday and planted those into our window box on the front living room window outside. I am hoping they will get bigger and fuller and fill out the box. They should peak this spring. I love the color combinations!

Day 22 – 2012
Seth and I spent the day planting our plant starters into pots with potting soil. Since they have been sitting in water for months, they have grown, but we were afraid that their growth was stunted due to not having enough nutrients. So, we threw away the dead plant that was in this large planter and planted our plumeria tree into it for safe keeping. We are keeping it in the garage until it starts warming up a bit more and then we will move it to the back yard. Tee other plants we replanted were ti leaf plants and one orchid.

Day 21 – 2012
So, this how I have survived the last 3 nights… by taking Tylenol PM for my lower back pain. I’m not sure how it started, but I think it has to do with our work out at the gym the other night and my run afterward. It feels like there is a large swollen lump that is putting pressure on my sciatica. Ouch… so, i am taking it again and going to bed now.

Day 20 – 2012
We have been blessed with an abundance of lemons on our tree this year – the only problem is that to reach most of them, you have to stick your hand inside the tree and risk being stabbed my the inch long thorns. So, the only lemons left are deep inside the tree, waiting for us to find our thick gloves so we can pick the rest of these babies! They are so worth it…

Day 19 – 2012
I have been going back and forth trying to decide between using my smart phone as my organizer or go back to using my daytimer … well, I think I will still use both – it helps to have my phone with me at all times reminding me of appts. and such, but writing it down on paper also helps me and it’s kind of like a journal of sorts, so for now, it’s both.

Day 18 – 2012
Here it is the middle of winter, and my grandkids can’t come over to my house without thinking about going swimming. In this photo (taken on Sunday, not today…) Lily tests the water temperature just to make sure that it is as cold as I told her it was. Unfortunately, the water was wayyyy to cold for swimming…. and she will have to wait until around May
